Path Finder | Path View

Path View allows you to see numerous search paths that consumers take to make purchase decisions.

When you enter a keyword, the search paths flowing around that keyword are visualized.

  • Path Finder can display up to 1,000 consumer search journeys.

  • The lines indicate the direction of search flow, moving from left to right.

  • The length of each bar represents the degree of connection with other keywords — the longer the bar, the more links it has with other keywords.

  • The color of each bar represents the search volume of that keyword — the darker the color, the higher the search volume; the lighter the color, the lower the search volume. You can check the exact monthly average search volume by clicking a keyword, and the legend below the color scale provides a reference for interpreting search volume range.

  • Keywords that are frequently used for cross-comparison searches are shown with red lines.

Vertical Gap

When the Zoom level increases and more keywords appear in Path Finder, overlapping text may occur. In that case, use the “Vertical Gap” control on the right to adjust the vertical spacing and separate overlapping text.

Keyword Connection Depth

You can adjust the number of connection steps from the analyzed keyword to view results. The connection depth can be displayed up to 10 steps, but the maximum depth varies depending on user search behavior.

Some keywords may have a maximum of 7 steps, while others may have up to 4 steps. If you want to view the overall search path, it is better to use the maximum depth. If you want to see only directly connected keywords, set the connection depth to 1 or 2.

The queried keyword is used as the center point, and previous and following keywords are highlighted accordingly.

Through the keyword classification feature, you can divide and view the “searched keyword” into previous keywords and subsequent keywords. In addition, keywords with similar meanings — such as “health supplements” and “protein shake” — are automatically grouped together, allowing a more intuitive understanding of the search path. When you click on a group, the keywords belonging to that group are highlighted.

This feature allows you to view the keywords within the path in order of search volume. They are sorted by highest monthly average search volume, and you can view growth rate, CPC, ad competition level, search intent, and search exposure type all at once. You can also download the data in Excel to check the monthly search volume of each keyword.

The number of visible keywords changes depending on the Zoom level, so if you want to see all keywords in Path Finder, set Zoom to maximum and click Keyword List.

If there is a keyword you want to exclude from the graph, click the bar below that keyword. Then select “Exclude from graph” to view the search path without that keyword. This removal is temporary — if you perform a new search in Path Finder, the excluded keyword will reappear.
