Cluster Finder | How to Read the Interface

Discover how to analyze and interpret consumer intent from large-scale keyword networks using Cluster Finder.

Clusters group together keywords with similar search intent. After collecting a wide range of related keywords, Cluster Finder automatically organizes them into intent-based groups — called clusters.

Each cluster is color-coded so that all keywords within the same intent group share the same color. You can also see connection lines between keywords — showing how users move from one search to another.

(*Hub Keyword : A hub keyword is a central term connected to many others within the cluster — it represents a key decision or intent in the overall search network.

The resolution setting controls how granular the clustering becomes:

  • Increasing the resolution → more detailed clusters (smaller, more specific groups)

  • Decreasing the resolution → broader clusters (fewer, larger groups)

Example:When resolution is set to medium, 3,946 keywords may form 37 clusters. When set to high, the same 3,946 keywords may split into 61 smaller clusters, allowing for more precise analysis.

Cluster Finder uses GPT-powered summarization to automatically generate cluster names. These are derived from common language patterns within each cluster, replacing alphabetical labels (e.g., A, B, C) with descriptive, intuitive names such as: “Setting Weight Loss Goals” or “Diet Meal Plans”. This makes it easier to interpret large keyword maps at a glance.

You can zoom in on each cluster by clicking it. This allows you to see in detail which keywords are grouped together within that cluster and how they are connected.

Excluding Clusters

  • Cluster Finder allows you to temporarily exclude specific clusters from your search results(Excluded clusters will reappear when you refresh or perform a new search).

  • Once excluded, the cluster will be hidden from both the graph view and card view, and the keywords within it will also be removed from the keyword list.-

  • When downloading data, the exported file will exclude those clusters as well — making this feature useful for internal reporting that focuses only on selected clusters.

How to exclude a cluster

  • Exclude an entire cluster:Select the cluster → click “Exclude Selected Cluster” at the bottom.

  • Exclude a single keyword:Click the keyword you wish to hide → choose “Exclude from Graph” in the menu tab.

Note: It is not possible to exclude multiple individual keywords at once.

When you click Card View, clusters are displayed in order of total search volume (based on the 3-month average). Within each cluster, the keywords are also listed by individual search volume, allowing you to quickly identify the most significant keywords first.
