Path Finder | Road View

With Road View, you can set the starting and ending points of a search path to explore the customer intent behind the search journey.

If Path Finder allows you to view the path of a specific search term up to 10 steps,Road View lets you specify the first and last points of a search path and view only the routes connecting them. You can access Road View by clicking Road View within Path Finder. Through Road View, you can examine the detailed movement path of customers.

Enter the keyword you’re curious about (e.g. workout supplements) in the keyword input field, and the related keywords will appear as endpoints. You can select the desired keyword to view its path.

  • To set the desired endpoint, enter a keyword in the search field within the results to specify the ending point. End keywords can be sorted by word similarity / search volume / CPC / ad competition.

  • If the desired keyword does not appear as an endpoint, it means that the two keywords are not connected within the search path.

  • In this case, it is recommended to first check the overall path using Path Finder.

To use Road View effectively, it’s best to include brand-related keywords.

  • For example: If you set a product category or non-brand keyword such as fitness supplement) as the starting point, and a brand keyword as the ending point, you can identify the search path potential customers take to discover a particular brand.

  • Alternatively, if you set your own brand as the starting point and a competitor brand as the ending point, you can see at what stage users begin to move toward the competitor. Since these are users who initially searched for your brand but later switched, it may indicate a need for follow-up actions such as improved content or search advertising.
